Research Interests

My clinical and research interests relate to the management of infections in solid organ and stem cell transplant recipients.  My research has been centered upon the epidemiology and management of multi-drug resistant pathogens, as well as their impact on patient and graft outcomes.  Recent work has focused on carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae in abdominal transplant recipients, as well as multi- and pan-drug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa in lung transplant recipients with cystic fibrosis.  I also have a strong interest in the impact of antimicrobial prescribing practices on multi-drug resistant infections in transplant recipients.
