Research Interests

Dr. Lutgring trained in infectious diseases and medical microbiology and his area of research is antibiotic resistance mechanisms in gram-negatives.  He currently serves as the clinical liaison to the CEMB at the CDC, coordinating branch resources in setting up Antimicrobial Resistance Regional Laboratories, and facilitating research regarding novel international antimicrobial resistance mechanisms.
